TCE™
Teaching Children Effectively™ • Level 1
Designed to offer a fresh approach to classroom learning, TCE Level 1 will help equip local church members to reach children for Christ in various settings including Good News Club® in the community and public schools as well as other children's classes. Attention is focused on the lostness of the child without Christ and the biblical basis for child evangelism. Special emphasis is placed on methods of evangelism, such as The Wordless Book and the evangelistic Bible lesson. Students are also instructed in how to plan and conduct evangelistic children's classes in various venues. The course provide practical training, thus enabling students to immediately teach in a Good News Club program.
In addition to regular coursework, three practicum sessions conducted during the course provide each student with evaluated experience in applying the theory and thought. Students are also required to participate in teaching five children’s classes within six months of completing the course to receive a certificate. All course instructors specialize in children’s ministry and are credentialed by Child Evangelism Fellowship®.
Prerequisites:
- Born-again Christian
- At least 15 years of age
- Willing to participate in all class activities, including practicum sessions.
Spring 2024 Course Information
This will be a hybrid course.
Thursday evening sessions will be held online via Zoom.
Saturday sessions will meet in person at The Crossing Church at 222 Laurel Avenue in Livingston, New Jersey.

Note: Note regular and punctual attendance is expected of all students due to the progressive nature of the course.
Cost: $150.00 includes all materials.
Early Bird Discount: Register by February 17 and pay only $125.
A limited number of scholarships are available based on financial need.
